Eco Roller Banners

Do you need a business class or an eco class roller banner? Is your roller banner going to go up, stay up and not be moved around, put away and transported frequently or is your roller banner going to be moved from place to place, frequently transported and frequently put up and down? Notwithstanding the subjective judgment of which is the better looking cassette (most would go for the business class we think, but taste does vary of course), if you are in the former camp, the eco banner is probably the model for you, however if you are in the latter camp, then the business class is probably the more sensible option.

The eco roller banners are our best value cassettes. They are light to transport and have spin out feet for added stability. Despite their best value price, our low cost roller banners (sometimes called popup banners) are printed onto block-out pvc which ensures no light shines through giving a pin sharp image. Likewise our so-flat material ensures no horrible curling at the edges of the print that you see on lesser versions.

The eco banner can be made as a double-sided roller should you require. Choose from widths of 0.85m, 1m, 1.2m and 1.5m single-sided and 0.85m and 1m widths double-sided. All supplied as standard with a padded carry case.

Nuwave Display Eco Roller Banners are:

  1. Printed onto specialist non-curl PVC for a sleek finish – no horrible curling at the edges that you see on more cheaply made examples.
  2. Easy to use and so quick to set up.
  3. Photo quality print on blockout media ensures your message stands out.
  4. Supplied with a padded carry case for added protection.; unlike some cheaper versions that are supplied with a bag that carries no padding.
  5. Supplied with a high quality cassette that allows for repeated use and transport unlike many other 'entry level' cassettes.
  1. The media is protected within the cassette and therefore less likely to be damaged, so perfect if the banner needs to be moved around a lot.
  2. Takes up little room so perfect where floor space is at a premium.
  3. The most popular class of roller banner out there and ideally suited to long term displays such as foyer displays in schools, universities, museums and libraries. Being such good value and high impact it also makes for a great POS tool.
  1. Does what you are being offered include a padded bag?
This is crucial as the cassette can be marked in transit and the top rail can also be easily damaged in an unpadded bag – some companies will often charge more for a padded bag.
  2. Is the media used blockout?
If it is not, then light may shine through from the back, which can reduce the sharpness and clarity of the image - some companies will often charge more for blockout material.
  3. Is the media used specifically 'so-flat'?
Almost all other media will suffer curling at the edges when the banner is up. This curling does have a very detrimental effect on presentation of your message.
  4. How much help are you being offered on design and artwork?
This can be a daunting prospect for some buyers and when left unsupported can make what looked like a good value banner turn into a very expensive and time consuming purchase.
  5. How much help and advice are you being offered to make sure you get the right solution for your needs?
Your needs can be varied and the solutions available can be many. The cheapest solution may not be the best solution for you or conversely a more expensive one may not be the most appropriate one either. The best suppliers offer the best advice to ensure that you get the best solution for you. At Nuwave we pride ourselves on providing the best, most dispassionate advice possible.
  1. What are roller Banners?
Roller banners or pull up banners (sometimes also called popup banners or stands) are portable stands that have a graphic that pulls out from a cassette. The graphic is then supported under tension by a single pole located behind the graphic. When a roller banner is not in-use the graphics are rolled up and protected within the cassette. Roller banners are generally transported in a padded bag with carry straps, are very quick to erect and similarly easy to transport.
  2. What sizes do you make?
Standard width is 0.85m wide by 2m high. Widths can go up to 1.5m for the single-sided option.
  3. What media are they printed on?
We print all our rollers onto blockout, so-flat PVC. This ensures that no light can be seen through the print and also ensures the media does not curl at the edges; a recurring feature of many low priced roller-up banners. Other types of lightstop or laminated media are often used or indeed cheaper grade PVC but these can either have issues on print quality or edge curling or both. We can also print onto display, textile fabric if required. Some regard this as more environmentally friendly. The print tends not to be quite so sharp as on a blockout vinyl and can be a bit more expensive. The print on textile is less easily damaged or scratched so it is a perfectly good solution should a client require it and we are very happy to do it, just ask!
  4. Is it possible to change the graphics if you want to change the message?
Yes it is perfectly possible. We are very happy to do this. The reality is that on the less expensive models the cost saving is limited, whereas on the more expensive wider models or on the business class models it makes plenty of sense.
  5. What is the main difference between Eco Rollers and Business Class Rollers?
Apart from the appearance of the cassette (see photos on the appropriate page), the Business Class Roller casettes are made of much thicker materials and are thus more robust and strong. The padded bag they come in is also more robustly padded. As far as media and print is concerned there is no difference. Both are printed on the same high class machine using'fine wave' technology and on the same top of the range blockout media already described.
  6. Is the media certified flame retardant?
    Yes.

I regularly use these Nuwave Display banners (in a range of sizes) at events worldwide. Being so light and portable I often carry then on flights as hand luggage.
